Tehillah 81 – תהלה פא – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹For the Leader; upon the Gitit. By Asaf.

²Sing aloud unto Elohim our strength; shout unto the Elohim of Ya’akov.

³Take up the melody, and sound the timbrel, the sweet Kinor with the Nevel.

⁴Blast the shofar at the khodesh, at the full moon for our Khag.

⁵For it is a statute for Yisra’el, an ordinance of the Elohim of Ya’akov.

⁶He appointed it in Yosef for a testimony, when He went forth against the land of Mitzrayim. The speech of one that I knew not did I hear:

⁷“I removed his shoulder from the burden; his hands were freed from the basket.

⁸You did call in trouble, and I rescued you; I answered you in the secret place of thunder; I proved you at the waters of Merivah. Selah.

⁹Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you: O Yisra’el, if you would hearken unto Me!

¹⁰There shall no strange god be in you; neither shall you worship any foreign god.

¹¹I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you up out of the land of Mitzrayim; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

¹²But My people hearkened not to My voice; and Yisra’el would not love Me.

¹³So I let them go after the stubbornness of their heart, that they might walk in their own counsels.

¹⁴Oh that My people would hearken unto Me, that Yisra’el would walk in My ways!

¹⁵I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn My hand against their adversaries.

¹⁶The haters of יהוה would dwindle away before Him; and their punishment would endure forever.

¹⁷They would also be fed with the fat of wheat; and with honey out of the Rock would I satisfy you.”

^אלַמְנַצֵּחַ עַל הַגִּתִּית לְאָסָף.

^בהַרְנִינוּ לֵאלֹהִים עוּזֵּנוּ; הָרִיעוּ לֵאלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב.

^גשְׂאוּ זִמְרָה וּתְנוּ תֹף; כִּנּוֹר נָעִים עִם נָבֶל.

^דתִּקְעוּ בַחֹדֶשׁ שׁוֹפָר; בַּכֵּסֶה לְיוֹם חַגֵּנוּ.

^הכִּי חֹק לְיִשְׂרָאֵל הוּא; מִשְׁפָּט לֵאלֹהֵי יַעֲקֹב.

^ועֵדוּת בִּיהוֹסֵף שָׂמוֹ בְּצֵאתוֹ עַל אֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם; שְׂפַת לֹא יָדַעְתִּי אֶשְׁמָע.

^זהֲסִירוֹתִי מִסֵּבֶל שִׁכְמוֹ; כַּפָּיו מִדּוּד תַּעֲבֹרְנָה.

^חבַּצָּרָה קָרָאתָ וָאֲחַלְּצֶךָּ: אֶעֶנְךָ בְּסֵתֶר רַעַם; אֶבְחָנְךָ עַל מֵי מְרִיבָה סֶלָה.

^טשְׁמַע עַמִּי וְאָעִידָה בָּךְ; יִשְׂרָאֵל אִם תִּשְׁמַע לִי.

^ילֹא יִהְיֶה בְךָ אֵל זָר; וְלֹא תִשְׁתַּחֲוֶה לְאֵל נֵכָר.

^יאאָנֹכִי יהוה אֱלֹהֶיךָ הַמַּעַלְךָ מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם; הַרְחֶב פִּיךָ וַאֲמַלְאֵהוּ.

^יבוְלֹא שָׁמַע עַמִּי לְקוֹלִי; וְיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא אָבָה לִי.

^יגוָאֲשַׁלְּחֵהוּ בִּשְׁרִירוּת לִבָּם; יֵלְכוּ בְּמוֹעֲצוֹתֵיהֶם.

^ידלוּ עַמִּי שֹׁמֵעַ לִי; יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּדְרָכַי יְהַלֵּכוּ.

^טוכִּמְעַט אוֹיְבֵיהֶם אַכְנִיעַ; וְעַל צָרֵיהֶם אָשִׁיב יָדִי.

^טזמְשַׂנְאֵי יהוה יְכַחֲשׁוּ לוֹ; וִיהִי עִתָּם לְעוֹלָם.

^יזוַיַּאֲכִילֵהוּ מֵחֵלֶב חִטָּה; וּמִצּוּר דְּבַשׁ אַשְׂבִּיעֶךָ.
