Tehillah 83 – תהלה פג – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹A Song, a Mizmor of Asaf.

²O Elohim, keep not silent; hold not Your peace, and be not still, O Elohim.

³For, lo, Your enemies are in an uproar; and they that hate You have lifted up the head.

⁴They hold crafty conversation against Your people, and take counsel against Your treasured ones.

⁵They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Yisra’el may be no more in remembrance.”

⁶For they have consulted together with one consent; against You do they make a covenant;

⁷The tents of Edom and the Yishma’elim; Mo’av, and the Hagrim;

⁸Geval, and Amon, and Amalek; Peleshet, with the inhabitants of Tzor;

⁹Ashur also is joined with them; they have been an arm to the children of Lot. Selah.

¹⁰Do unto them as unto Midyan; as to Sisera, as to Yavin, at the brook Kishon;

¹¹Who were destroyed at Ein Dor; they became as dung for the earth.

¹²Make their nobles like Orev and Ze’ev, and like Zevakh and Tzalmuna all their princes;

¹³Who said, “Let us take to ourselves in possession the habitations of Elohim.”

¹⁴O my Elohim, make them like the whirling dust; as stubble before the wind.

¹⁵As the fire that burns the forest, and as the flame that sets the mountains ablaze,

¹⁶So pursue them with Your tempest, and frighten them with Your storm.

¹⁷Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek Your Name, O יהוה .

¹⁸Let them be ashamed and terrified forever; yes, let them be abashed and perish;

¹⁹That they may know that it is You alone whose Name is יהוה , Elyon over all the earth.

^אשִׁיר מִזְמוֹר לְאָסָף.

^באֱלֹהִים אַל דֳּמִי לָךְ; אַל תֶּחֱרַשׁ וְאַל תִּשְׁקֹט אֵל.

^גכִּי הִנֵּה אוֹיְבֶיךָ יֶהֱמָיוּן; וּמְשַׂנְאֶיךָ נָשְׂאוּ רֹאשׁ.

^דעַל עַמְּךָ יַעֲרִימוּ סוֹד; וְיִתְיָעֲצוּ עַל צְפוּנֶיךָ.

^האָמְרוּ לְכוּ וְנַכְחִידֵם מִגּוֹי; וְלֹא יִזָּכֵר שֵׁם יִשְׂרָאֵל עוֹד.

^וכִּי נוֹעֲצוּ לֵב יַחְדָּו; עָלֶיךָ בְּרִית יִכְרֹתוּ.

^זאָהֳלֵי אֱדוֹם וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִים; מוֹאָב וְהַגְרִים.

^חגְּבָל וְעַמּוֹן וַעֲמָלֵק; פְּלֶשֶׁת עִם יֹשְׁבֵי צוֹר.

^טגַּם אַשּׁוּר נִלְוָה עִמָּם; הָיוּ זְרוֹעַ לִבְנֵי לוֹט סֶלָה.

^יעֲשֵׂה לָהֶם כְּמִדְיָן; כְּסִיסְרָא כְיָבִין בְּנַחַל קִישׁוֹן.

^יאנִשְׁמְדוּ בְעֵין דֹּאר; הָיוּ דֹּמֶן לָאֲדָמָה.

^יבשִׁיתֵמוֹ נְדִיבֵימוֹ כְּעֹרֵב וְכִזְאֵב; וּכְזֶבַח וּכְצַלְמֻנָּע כָּל נְסִיכֵימוֹ.

^יגאֲשֶׁר אָמְרוּ נִירְשָׁה לָּנוּ אֵת נְאוֹת אֱלֹהִים.

^ידאֱלֹהַי שִׁיתֵמוֹ כַגַּלְגַּל; כְּקַשׁ לִפְנֵי רוּחַ.

^טוכְּאֵשׁ תִּבְעַר יָעַר; וּכְלֶהָבָה תְּלַהֵט הָרִים.

^טזכֵּן תִּרְדְּפֵם בְּסַעֲרֶךָ; וּבְסוּפָתְךָ תְבַהֲלֵם.

^יזמַלֵּא פְנֵיהֶם קָלוֹן; וִיבַקְשׁוּ שִׁמְךָ יהוה .

^יחיֵבֹשׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲלוּ עֲדֵי עַד; וְיַחְפְּרוּ וְיֹאבֵדוּ.

^יטוְיֵדְעוּ כִּי אַתָּה שִׁמְךָ יהוה לְבַדֶּךָ: עֶלְיוֹן עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ.
