1A Tefilah of Moshe, the man of Elohim. Adonai, You have been our dwelling-place in all generations.
2Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are Elohim.
3You turn man to contrition; and say, “Return, you children of men.”
4For a thousand years in Your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.
5You carry them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep; in the morning they are like grass which grows up.
6In the morning it flourishes, and grows up; in the evening it is cut down, and withers.
7For we are consumed in Your anger, and by Your wrath are we hurried away.
8You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.
9For all our days are passed away in Your wrath; we bring our years to an end as a tale that is told.
10The days of our years are sixty years and ten, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet is their pride but travail and vanity; for it is speedily gone, and we fly away.
11Who knows the power of Your anger, and Your wrath according to the fear that is due unto You?
12So teach us to number our days, that we may get us a heart of wisdom.
13Return, O יהוה ; how long? And let yourself relent concerning Your servants.
14O satisfy us in the morning with Your compassion; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15Make us glad according to the days wherein You have afflicted us, according to the years wherein we have seen evil.
16Let Your work appear unto Your servants, and Your glory upon their children.
17And let the graciousness of Adonai our Elohim be upon us; establish also upon us the work of our hands; yes, the work of our hands, establish it.
אתְּפִלָּה לְמֹשֶׁה אִישׁ הָאֱלֹהִים: אֲדֹנָי מָעוֹן אַתָּה הָיִיתָ לָּנוּ; בְּדֹר וָדֹר.
בבְּטֶרֶם הָרִים יֻלָּדוּ וַתְּחוֹלֵל אֶרֶץ וְתֵבֵל; וּמֵעוֹלָם עַד עוֹלָם אַתָּה אֵל.
גתָּשֵׁב אֱנוֹשׁ עַד דַּכָּא; וַתֹּאמֶר שׁוּבוּ בְנֵי אָדָם.
דכִּי אֶלֶף שָׁנִים בְּעֵינֶיךָ כְּיוֹם אֶתְמוֹל כִּי יַעֲבֹר; וְאַשְׁמוּרָה בַלָּיְלָה.
הזְרַמְתָּם שֵׁנָה יִהְיוּ; בַּבֹּקֶר כֶּחָצִיר יַחֲלֹף.
ובַּבֹּקֶר יָצִיץ וְחָלָף; לָעֶרֶב יְמוֹלֵל וְיָבֵשׁ.
זכִּי כָלִינוּ בְאַפֶּךָ; וּבַחֲמָתְךָ נִבְהָלְנוּ.
חשת (שַׁתָּה) עֲוֹנֹתֵינוּ לְנֶגְדֶּךָ; עֲלֻמֵנוּ לִמְאוֹר פָּנֶיךָ.
טכִּי כָל יָמֵינוּ פָּנוּ בְעֶבְרָתֶךָ; כִּלִּינוּ שָׁנֵינוּ כְמוֹ הֶגֶה.
ייְמֵי שְׁנוֹתֵינוּ בָהֶם שִׁבְעִים שָׁנָה וְאִם בִּגְבוּרֹת שְׁמוֹנִים שָׁנָה וְרָהְבָּם עָמָל וָאָוֶן: כִּי גָז חִישׁ וַנָּעֻפָה.
יאמִי יוֹדֵעַ עֹז אַפֶּךָ; וּכְיִרְאָתְךָ עֶבְרָתֶךָ.
יבלִמְנוֹת יָמֵינוּ כֵּן הוֹדַע; וְנָבִא לְבַב חָכְמָה.
יגשׁוּבָה יהוה עַד מָתָי; וְהִנָּחֵם עַל עֲבָדֶיךָ.
ידשַׂבְּעֵנוּ בַבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ; וּנְרַנְּנָה וְנִשְׂמְחָה בְּכָל יָמֵינוּ.
טושַׂמְּחֵנוּ כִּימוֹת עִנִּיתָנוּ: שְׁנוֹת רָאִינוּ רָעָה.
טזיֵרָאֶה אֶל עֲבָדֶיךָ פָעֳלֶךָ; וַהֲדָרְךָ עַל בְּנֵיהֶם.
יזוִיהִי נֹעַם אֲדֹנָי אֱלֹהֵינוּ עָלֵינוּ: וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנָה עָלֵינוּ; וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדֵינוּ כּוֹנְנֵהוּ.
