Tehillah 97 – תהלה צז – D'var יהוה , The Word of יהוה

¹ יהוה reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad.

²Clouds and darkness are round about Him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

³A fire goes before Him, and burns up His adversaries round about.

⁴His lightnings lighted up the world; the earth saw, and trembled.

⁵The mountains melted like wax at the Presence of יהוה , at the Presence of the Adon of the whole earth.

⁶The heavens declared His righteousness, and all the peoples saw His glory.

⁷Ashamed are all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of things of nought; bow down to Him, all you gods.

⁸Tzion heard and was glad, and the daughters of Yehudah rejoiced; because of Your judgments, O יהוה .

⁹For You, יהוה , are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

¹⁰O you that love יהוה , hate evil; He preserves the souls of His Khasidim; He delivered them out of the hand of the wicked.

¹¹Light is sown for HaTzadik, and gladness for the upright in heart.

¹²Be glad in יהוה , you Tzadikim; and give thanks to His consecrated Name.

^א יהוה מָלָךְ תָּגֵל הָאָרֶץ; יִשְׂמְחוּ אִיִּים רַבִּים.

^בעָנָן וַעֲרָפֶל סְבִיבָיו; צֶדֶק וּמִשְׁפָּט מְכוֹן כִּסְאוֹ.

^גאֵשׁ לְפָנָיו תֵּלֵךְ; וּתְלַהֵט סָבִיב צָרָיו.

^דהֵאִירוּ בְרָקָיו תֵּבֵל; רָאֲתָה וַתָּחֵל הָאָרֶץ.

^ההָרִים כַּדּוֹנַג נָמַסּוּ מִלִּפְנֵי יהוה : מִלִּפְנֵי אֲדוֹן כָּל הָאָרֶץ.

^והִגִּידוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם צִדְקוֹ; וְרָאוּ כָל הָעַמִּים כְּבוֹדוֹ.

^זיֵבֹשׁוּ כָּל עֹבְדֵי פֶסֶל הַמִּתְהַלְלִים בָּאֱלִילִים; הִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לוֹ כָּל אֱלֹהִים.

^חשָׁמְעָה וַתִּשְׂמַח צִיּוֹן וַתָּגֵלְנָה בְּנוֹת יְהוּדָה לְמַעַן מִשְׁפָּטֶיךָ יהוה .

^טכִּי אַתָּה יהוה עֶלְיוֹן עַל כָּל הָאָרֶץ; מְאֹד נַעֲלֵיתָ עַל כָּל אֱלֹהִים.

^יאֹהֲבֵי יהוה שִׂנְאוּ רָע: שֹׁמֵר נַפְשׁוֹת חֲסִידָיו; מִיַּד רְשָׁעִים יַצִּילֵם.

^יאאוֹר זָרֻעַ לַצַּדִּיק; וּלְיִשְׁרֵי לֵב שִׂמְחָה.

^יבשִׂמְחוּ צַדִּיקִים בַּיהוה ; וְהוֹדוּ לְזֵכֶר קָדְשׁוֹ.
